Summer 2016 - Iceland, USA and Canada
Portland, here I am!
Finally arrived at the hotel in Portland after an 8 hour flight, in a small and uncomfortable seat. I was, of course, in the middle seat. How ever, I was lucky. I was sitting next to two super friendly, elderly ladies that lives in Portland. They gave me some useful tips about how to get around and such. Now, I'm hungry!
Bye bye Iceland...
It's time to leave Iceland and head over to Portland.
Midnight in Reykjavik
When I went out, I didn't only meet a bunch of cool people, but I also found out that, because of a national holiday on the day after (Monday), most bars and such stayed open until around 04:00 - 04:30 this Sunday.
Meeting the natives
It's amazing to meet the natives, even though the people above happens to be an American family + one Canadian. This is a couple of Germans, Americans, and the same Canadian...
When in Iceland
@ Nora Magasin. They also do a mean pan-fried cod with rice and veggies.
Arrived in Reykjavik
Now I'm finally in my room at the Airnbnb i booked in Reykjavik. The weather is really nice so far (around 15-16 and partially cloudy) and the city was packed with people. It's time to hit the town and grab something to eat. Who knows, I might just grab a beer as well.
The journey begins...
First stop... Iceland, with their cold, rainy weather and total dislike of Snus (it's actually illegal to bring it in to the country).
